Cookies & analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how The Sick List is used and improve it. Analytics starts on the public website unless you switch it off using Cookie settings. The rest of the site works exactly the same if you turn it off.
What is measured
We measure visits to broad sections such as guides and gifts, broad referral sources, limited campaign labels, PDF opens and clicks to retailers. Our website code groups individual condition and guide URLs, and does not intentionally send search terms, arbitrary URL parameters, PDF filenames or retailer URLs to Google Analytics. These events do not tell us whether a visitor purchased anything.
Google Analytics may process cookie identifiers, browser and device information and approximate location. This information is not completely anonymous. The cookies are named _ga and _ga_BJ40HRQBZR and last up to six months. We have turned off advertising storage and advertising personalisation in the tag. Google may process information outside the UK.
Your choice
Use Cookie settings below, or in the footer of any page, to turn analytics off or on. We remember your choice in your browser for up to six months using local storage (tsl-analytics-choice-v1), not an analytics cookie. If you turn analytics off, we stop sending new analytics events and remove our Google Analytics cookies from this browser. An earlier visit may already have been counted.
For more information about how we and other services handle information, see our privacy notice and Google's privacy policy.
Other website services
Our hosting service receives the technical requests needed to deliver and protect pages. Fonts and some product images come from external providers. Retailer and affiliate links open other services with their own privacy and cookie rules. Your analytics preference does not control those services.
